If you’re on the look out for an excellent new aesthetic clinic in London, then look no further than the range of thoughtful and well-accredited treatments on offer at Dr Rasha Rakhshani-Moghadam’s new clinic in Knightsbridge.
The gorgeous setting is not just about style (although it has that in spades). There’s plenty of substance too, with the latest technologies ready to excite not only celebrities who fly in from around the world to be treated by Dr Rasha but also her clientele of local school mums.
With an approach to treatments that is all about being ‘sensible’, always doing less, and only what’s needed, Dr Rasha is also keen to share her learnings in wellness with her patients, especially having worked so hard to transform her own body in the past couple of years.
Here’s what you need to know about the new clinic opening, including a video-based sneak-peak of the space and the cutting-edge treatments happening there…
“We’re very focused on skin,” reveals Dr Rasha. “A lot of people come in for tiny little treatments on their face, because they know we like the very natural approach. It is about small changes that keep you looking youthful but not different.”
“I think the key with getting natural results is knowing what products to place where, and in what amounts,” continues Dr Rasha. “We start with less and build up, as opposed to the other way around.”
“I really like to create a plan for my patients and to talk them through it to educate them on what is out there,” explains Dr Rasha. “I feel a lot of [aesthetic doctors] just kind of make that decision for [patients].
“Instead, I like to give my patients autonomy and allow them to decide for themselves. That means they can work through the plan, starting off with one or two areas and then build that up gradually. That means you can build that rapport with your patients and they trust you a lot more.”
Dr Rasha is also laser-focused on getting people’s skin into optimum condition before they start having procedures: “We like to get all our patients to have the skin scanner. We look at their skin and assess it before the patient even walks in for the consultation and then follow it up with prescribed skincare.”
“I’ve recently really been loving – and my patients have been loving – the combination of polynucleotides combined with having a little bit of “baby Botox”, aka wrinkle relaxing injections, and a little bit of filler,” reveals Dr Rasha. “It’s a very nice approach when you deal with the whole face and you can tackle all areas. I have quite a few patients that fly in for the full transformation, especially when they’ve seen it on other people that they know because, it gives you that liquid facelift.“
While the people you might see talking online about their treatments at Dr Rasha’s clinic are as glamorous as the aesthetic doctor herself, that’s only a small slice of her clientele.
“I’m only given permission to post 10% of the patients that come in,” explains Dr Rasha. “I get a lot of people as walk-ins or mothers dropping their kids off at school who come by after hours. A lot of it is word of mouth.”
The BBL Moxi: for pigmentation
“I’m very particular with what type of machines I allow into my clinic. They were very carefully handpicked,” says Dr Rasha. For example, “we’ve been having incredible results with BBL Moxi. It tackles pigmentation, but also rejuvenates the skin, treats fine lines and helps with pores. It’s an all-in-one kind of treatment and I feel when you improve the skin and its overall health in general, you need a lot less [intervention].”
Dr Sara [Dr Rasha’s sister and a fellow aesthetic doctor at the clinic] is also on hand for body treatments, including vaginal fillers and treatments for cellulite. Plus, any of the clinic’s therapists can help you create a body contouring plan to help you personally tackle all your needs.
With one eye ever on the future, Dr Rasha concludes by revealing her desire to bring more wellbeing principles to the clinic.
“For the past two years I’ve had a bit of a wellness journey myself. I’ve lost about 40 kilos in the span of 18 months, which I did with a lot of hard work, exercise and eating proper foods. I feel like I’ve given a lot more value to wellness and looking after your health, mental health and physical health, and it just really empowers you.”
