He is a highly specialised, internationally renowned Consultant Surgeon working also in the NHS at Guy’s & St Thomas’ and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. He qualified in medicine & surgery in Bologna (Italy) in 2002.

In 2022, Lorenzo was awarded the Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy (OSI) in recognition of his international career in surgery and his coordination of a task-force of doctors working voluntarily throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Besides his surgical career Lorenzo also completed a 4 year, level 7 Aesthetic & Wellness Medicine Postgraduate Diploma all at the same time as qualifying as a surgeon 20 years ago. He also obtained the European Board of Hand Surgery (EBHS) Diploma and is a Member of the EBHS Examination Committee. Lorenzo is a Scientific Director and Anatomical Director for SEASON (Science Enhanced Anatomy Safety Outcomes Network) a non-commercialised scientific exchange that has the mission of advancing procedural safety and outcomes in aesthetic medicine, identifying unmet needs in research and development, and fostering responsible media reporting in aesthetics. Lorenzo is a key opinion leader (KOL) for InMode.

He is regularly invited Faculty at international courses and congresses, has published several peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and is Editor and Reviewer for international scientific journals and books. The main focus of his current research is on innovative techniques to increase procedures safety and improve the outcomes.  Lorenzo teaches and trains medical students, trainees, senior Fellows and Consultants from all over the world. He is the first dually qualified Hand Surgeon and Aesthetic Doctor in the world to have developed anatomically-based hand rejuvenation techniques, including the multi-layer injection technique B-FAB®, that he has published, presents on globally and teaches to Medical Aesthetic Practitioners and to Hand Surgeons with dedicated Masterclasses.

Lorenzo is Honorary Reader (senior Associate Professor) at the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, King’s College London and the current President of the Hand Aesthetics International (HAI) Society and of the Italian Medical Society of Great Britain (IMSoGB). He is also past President of the Paediatric Hand International Society of Surgeon (PHISOS).

Lorenzo is the Medical Director of SE1 Medical Aesthetics, in London Bridge and it is his mission to ensure the clinic upholds the highest standards in non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This includes providing a doctor led service in a 5-star clinical environment. Lorenzo is registered with the JCCP (Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners) and the BCAM (British College of Aesthetic Medicine) that set the standards to assure public safety.
