Karen Hunter is a Specialist Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Independent Prescriber, with over 25 years of experience in the beauty/aesthetic industry. Based in Darwen, Lancashire, Karen opened Karen Hunter Aesthetics Clinic where she offers bespoke aesthetic treatments that enhance and rejuvenate your natural appearance. Karen specialises in skin treatments including facial injections and offers a wide range of treatments.

Before gaining her BSc (Hons) degree in Nursing, Karen qualified as a Beauty Therapist in 1994. She successfully managed her own business, providing beauty and paramedical aesthetic treatments. Karen has gone on to become a highly experienced practitioner. Alongside her work at her clinic, Karen is also a Clinical Nurse Specialist at North Manchester General Hospital, a role she has had since 2017, where she runs a nurse-led clinic offering collagen-stimulating injectables for the treatment of HIV-associated Facial Lipoatrophy.

With a desire to improve her patients’ confidence, inside and out, Karen’s ethos is to provide a bespoke, holistic approach to aesthetics. As a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN), the Association for Nurse Prescribing (ANP) and the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group (ACE), she is committed to educating others on how to restore skin health whilst delivering safe, effective non-surgical aesthetic procedures that result in a natural-looking appearance.
